This is a really nice piece of cobaltocalcite from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
 
 Cobaltocalcite is often formed in hydrothermal veins, where hot, high-content mineral water solutions leave calcium carbonate in rock cavities or fractures. The intensity of the pink colouration is dependent on the amount of calcium replaced by Cobalt.
