Location: Judith River Formation

 

Lenth of fossil: 1.18 inches

 

79- 75 million years ago, the Judith River Formation would have comprised of river channels, floodplains, and wetlands with floral diversity recognisable to what we see today including ferns, conifers, and cycads.

 

Fauna included a variety of dinosaur species including Brachylophosaurus, Centrosaurus , and,  Gorgosaurus. 

Turtles, pterosaurs, small mammals, and a variety of fish species also made up some of the diversity found within the ecosystem.
