This is a really cool and rare sauropod tooth from the Isalo I I I Formation.
 
The tooth does have some natural feeding wear, and there is a repair line present too, but this is still a large, and relatively rare dinosaur tooth, perfect for any collection.

The teeth of Lapparentosaurus were perfectly designed for stripping vegetation and its great size provided the perfect advantage for accessing food other animals simply could not. 
Estimates put it at up to 50 feet in length, 4-6 meters in height, and weighing up to 20 tonnes.
During the Jurassic Period, the ecosystem would have been dominated by forests comprising mostly of monkey puzzle trees and conifers, flowering plants would not appear until the Cretaceous Period.  There would have been clear wet and dry seasons during the latter, evidence of flooding is present.
