A nice- sized Majungasaurus tooth from the Maevarano Formation,  situated in northwestern Madagascar. 
 
Age: 70- 66 MYO
Length: 0.96 inches
Location: Maevarano Formation, Northwestern Madagascar.
 
The tooth does have some wear but also has some nice serrations still present.
 
Majungasaurus was the apex predator of its ecosystem and, interestingly, is one of the few dinosaurs to display clear evidence of canabilistic feeding behaviour. Whether this was through predation or scavenging is up for debate.
 
Weighing up to 1000 kg and measuring over 20 feet in length, this would have been a truly impressive prehistoric sight to behold!
